Effective Construction Contract Management and Administration

Any building project, no matter the contract type has to undergo three specific stages namely the design, tender and then of course the actual physical construction phases. In any of the stages, the effective management and administration of contracts is critical in order to manage the design specifications, contractual agreements, competitive tendering, evaluation, cost control, variations, final accounts, claims and even disputes.
It goes without saying that the poor management of any of these aspects can lead to unnecessary delays, claims and disputes and eventually higher construction costs - which you want to avoid at all costs! When dealing with complex construction tenders, navigating the tendering minefield is a lot easier said than done. So, what do you need to know in order to successfully come out of this whole process with the signed tender in your hand?

This hands-on and practical effective construction contract management and administration training course has been designed to take you through a step-by-step analysis of the entire project life cycle and contract administration tasks and it will equip you with the skills you need to determine the inherent risks associated with each stage of the life cycle. You will also learn how to use all of the tools at your disposal to avoid cost and time over-runs, without the need to sacrifice quality.

In addition, this course will explore and incorporate all of the technical and procedural competencies that cover in detail the dealings between the contracting parties and concerned stakeholders. It will also combine both the commercial and contractual necessities which will support and promote the performance of the entire project from the time the contract is awarded until the work has been completed, payment has been made and any disputes settled.

Using actual case studies and practical advice we will show you how to avoid problems and how to approach dispute resolution for optimum results using the most appropriate method to analyse the cause and effect.

So, if you are looking for a training course that will show you how to apply proven construction contract management and administration techniques, stop looking because this course offers you this and so much more!

Construction Estimation & Tendering

OVERVIEW
Estimating is considered one of the most important processes in the successful completion of bids for tendering of projects. A cost estimate is the approximation of the cost of a project. The technical requirements, general requirements, escalation requirements and complete understanding of the scope of work are crucial in construction estimation. The tender process often adds the pressures faced by professionals in the industry, delays poor documents, inaccurate estimations on value of work, ill-equipped staff managing tenders, and risks being passed onto Contractors are just a few of the challenges.
This 2-day workshop seeks to take the attendees through the process of tendering and construction estimation to ensure handover to the site is smooth should the tender be successful. Learning how to develop strategies for preparing well-researched bids, and how to mitigate risks and effectively engage all participating stakeholders will be covered during the workshop.

EXPERT FACILITATOR
