A’Sambeni means “Let’s Travel” in the Zulu/Ndebele language. It is an invitation to set off on a leisurely mission together – an offer of sunshine, good companionship, and adventure.
Serving Exhibitors: Convention & Visitors Bureaus, Hotels & Venues, Event Management Companies & PCOs, Meeting Support Companies among other specialist suppliers to the tourism industry.
Benefiting Visitors: Corporate Travel and Incentives Decision Makers, Regional & International Travel Wholesalers and Agents as well as Potential Investors.
What?
The 2017 edition of Asambeni will bring together local and international Meetings, Conference, Exhibition and Events Organisers to meet and network with Zimbabwe’s leading hotels, venues and event suppliers. The focus of the expo is to highlight a newly emergent generator of income, employment and foreign investment: Business Tourism, with a view to capitalising and developing the travelling and touring interest in Africa, and Zimbabwe in particular.
Where?
Its location in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, places the expo physically in the centre of the region. The venue is accommodated within the Zimbabwe International Exhibition centre – an extensive, permanent, purpose-built exhibition centre with a full-time specialist staff and plenty of room for expansion in future years. A’Sambeni is a separate exhibition within ZITF situated in Hall 3.
Why Participate?
Southern Africa’s tourism facilities have experienced phenomenal growth in the last few years. The region is increasingly seen, and requested as a circuit covering multiple countries. This is true as much for the business travellers as the holidaymaker. The national exhibitors at A’Sambeni will not only showcase attractions in their own countries, but provide information on the inter-country routing possibilities for a huge variety of travel customers.
When?
A’Sambeni Africa will be held on 25 – 29 April 2017, at the same time as the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair. The timing of the exhibition will enable overseas and regional delegates to co-ordinate their trips to A’Sambeni and the South African exhibition, Indaba.
